If you’re going on a luxury vacation, or you’re planning to go on one soon, don’t forget to do the things in this post before you go!

Consult Your Family and Research
If you’re going with your family, talk to them about the kind of thing they’d like to do, and put in some research. There are all kinds of luxury vacations, from a luxury safari to a ski holiday in an amazing chalet. You could look at some of the best ski chalets in Meribel before taking a look at luxury safaris in Kenya. You have so many different options!
Take Care of Things at Home
Make sure you take care of things at home as best as you can so you don’t have anything to worry about while you’re away or when you get back. You don’t want to be on your luxury vacation worrying about all of the things you have to do when you return! You can do things like clean the house, change the bed linen, and set an email message so that people know you’re not available.

Call Your Bank
You don’t want any issues with your bank while you’re away, so call them and tell them where you’re going. If they suspect activity on your account to be fraudulent, which can happen when you go away, they might disable your card. This could put you in a predicament!
Get Insurance
The last thing you want is something to come along and spoil your luxury vacation. While you don’t have control over every little thing, you can get insurance to give you peace of mind and protect you against some hazards. Depending on the cover you get, you could protect yourself from losing things, having something stolen, medical expenses, and luggage delays. Just make sure you get a suitable amount of cover.
Create an Itinerary
Before you head off to where you’re going, consider creating a bit of an itinerary so you know what you’d like to be doing and when. You can always change this later on if you like, but at least you won’t feel too overwhelmed when you arrive at your destination.

Make a Packing List
Make a packing list to pack and unpack with, so you know you have absolutely everything before leaving at the start and end of your trip. Many people have scattered thoughts and feel as if they’re forgetting something. A list will help you to stay focused on what you need to take there and bring home. You can find ready made packing lists online if you need help.
Research the Airport
Research the airport you’re flying from so you know what you can take in your bag and what you need to put in a clear plastic bag, or leave at home. Rules vary between airports, so being aware of the procedure will help you make your trip better by eliminating airport stress.
